Taiwan Updated its Standard on Migration of Certain Elements in Toys

The standard Safety of toys — Part 2: Migration of certain elements (玩具安全 — 第 2 部:特定元素遷移) in Taiwan has been amended to CNS 4797-2:2022 recently. The previous version CNS 4797-2:2004 is thus superseded.


Release of the standard is based on the provisions of the Standard Law, approved by the National Standard Review Committee, and published by the competent authority of Taiwan.


Changes:
The update was based on ISO 8124-3:2020 Safety of toys — Part 3: Migration of certain elements, with its technical content adopted without any changes.  Comparing with ISO 8124-3:2020, the updated standard has only generic differences such as the definition of terms.

Effective Date:
This updated standard is effective on the date of publication:  2022-02-18.
